I had to resort to fine steel wool around some of the rivets. I took it to three body shops to get estimates. The body shop I used ended up being the most expensive but they wanted to use an epoxy primer. They had painted aluminum, before and were comfortable that the paint would stick to the high gloss of the polished aluminum. I was concerned with the other shops as they did not appear as confident.
