<title>This is a shot of the plate in the unrestored condition. Serial number #1135 is the newest serial number existing. Note this Holiday even has a specified model number. None of the of the existing Holiays have model numbers. My other 54 has the oldest serial number of any of the existing Holidays with #1094.</title>

<title>After cleaning the plate thoroughly, I primed it with Alumaprep aluminum primer then sprayed it with a red that closely matched the original color. I then flipped it face down on 800 grit wet and dry sand paper and moved it around carefully sanding off the red paint only on the raised places on the plate.</title>

<title>I lightly super glued two heavy nuts on the back to give me equal pressure. The gray circle is 800 grit wet and dry sand paper. I then &quot;carefully&quot; moved the name plate around on the sandpaper making sure the paper was completely flat. I was working on a stainless steel counter so the wet sand paper was pretty easy to keep flat as it's very flexible when wet. It was a slow process as I didn't want to go too far and start removing the background red.</title>

<title>This is the final stage after sanding before polishing. I’d like to say it was easy and gave me a flawless result but it was EXTREMELY time consuming and I had to do a good bit of touch up with a fine brusk. </title>
